I will help you discover how these two little words (WHAT IF) can begin a positive journey to having dreams, goals and successes, like they help me. WHAT IF you can claim your God-given dignity and stand tall? That is also my journey.
My coach trainings include Life Coaching, Dream Coaching, and True Purpose Coaching. I have had training as an elementary school teacher (BA degree), and also as a counselor with a Godly focus, worked with an international couturier regarding personal image, a personal trainer regarding fitness and a naturopathic doctor regarding health. Add to that my life experiences (as wife of a former Navy man with 4 children - now adults) and expertise over years of regaining my health and weight loss. With all of that, I will be empowering you to believe you're worth it, giving you the fuel to rise.
I understand what it feels like to want meaning and focus. I've been there. I understand what it takes to get there. I worked at it too, with successes and challenges along the way. I want to be your advocate, cheerleader and mentor with sincere and kind accountability, understanding and encouragement.

I was speaking at a TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) Annual International convention in 2007 to tell them how the transformation happened. I had lost weight and made a significant mental/emotional change that also changed my outlook and my look.
I almost tore this one up and it could have been gone for good. I was very sad. Instead I decided to use it to fuel my journey. It took me about a year initially to lose the weight. A non-profit weight loss organization TOPS, was instrumental in that.
My dad passed away and I wasn't able to clear the air with him regarding his treatment of me as a second class citizen (a woman). I was emotional eating again and again the weight came on. I smiled through my pain.
I was excited about my weight loss. My son's help in personal training and getting serious about measuring my food intake, I got down even further than just a few years prior. I have had minor ups and downs since this, but I now work at maintenance.
Yay! Confidence returning! I'm still working at that part - it's what's inside that nobody else knows, right? Even though most of the world judges us by our looks, it's definitely not about that! I saw that I had to love myself. My actions and internal voice had to be loving actions. "What would I say to my friend?" I embraced being my own friend. Do I still have self-doubt? Absolutely. I just try not to get stuck there.
As a Grandma, I had renewed purpose. The major discovery at this time of my life, was that purpose is everything. I enrolled in several coaching programs, to endeavor to help others with their journeys. I stopped dyeing my hair, embracing my age. I wanted to be healthy, strong and happy playing with my grandchildren.
It's been a lot of HARD and consistent work. I began exercising in earnest in my late 40's. When I started, I could only do one push-up from my knees. Now I can drop and give you 20 from my toes! It hasn't been an overnight journey, as you can see. There were lots of ups and downs - not a straight path to goal - but purpose will see you through.

Overcome the stresses and challenges of life with meaningful purpose to drive you. Your purpose is your rudder to guide you to your own personal truth - your light - your dignity. I can help you come to an understanding of who you are and what you are blessed with that is in service to others.
